## Who is Mohammed Lachgar?

Mohammed Lachgar is a Moroccan hospitality operator and investor. He is co-founder and managing director of StayHere, the hospitality group he started in Rabat in June 2020 with Mohamed Benzakour, and co-founder of StayCapital (Partner, Growth & Technology), a hospitality real-estate investment platform. Since February 2024 he has been treasurer of the Regional Tourism Council of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.

## What is StayHere?

StayHere is a Moroccan hospitality company with multiple brands — apart-hotels, boutique hotels and riads — and plans to keep expanding the portfolio. The promise across all of them: the space of a residence with the service of a hotel, for stays from one night to twelve months. As of August 2026 it operates 10 addresses and more than 300 suites across Rabat, Casablanca, Agadir and Essaouira.

## What is StayCapital?

StayCapital is where the StayHere founders invest in hotels and apart-hotels, committing their own capital and bringing private investors in alongside them. It was incorporated in late 2023 by Mohamed Benzakour and Mohammed Lachgar with Yacine El Jamali and Hicham Maaninou. Current projects include a four-star lifestyle hotel in central Rabat (78 keys, scheduled for the second half of 2027) and Casablanca Cortina (39 suites, fully funded). Returns are a target, not a guarantee.

## How can I invest with StayCapital?

Start with the investor access form on this site. Profiles are reviewed by the team: qualified investors are invited to a private meeting, and other profiles are followed up individually. Investment products are designed for sophisticated investors; returns are never guaranteed. The investment minimum is 1.25M MAD with a five-year hold (per staycapital.ma) — the same threshold as the form's lowest range.

## What is the minimum investment with StayCapital?

The minimum ticket is 1.25 million MAD, with a minimum hold of five years (per staycapital.ma). The investor-access form's ranges mirror that threshold: at or above 1.25M MAD the team follows up directly; below it, you join the information list. Products are designed for sophisticated investors; returns are never guaranteed.

## What is StayHere Riads?

StayHere Riads is the group's line for Morocco's historic medinas, launched in 2026. Its first portfolio is in Essaouira: two riads and 38 rooms, with integrated dining.

## Where does StayHere operate?

Ten addresses across four cities: Rabat (5), Casablanca (3, with a new address opening), Agadir (1), and Essaouira — where StayHere Riads runs two riads with 38 rooms. Marrakech opens before the end of 2026; new brands are planned for Fès and Tanger in 2027.
