StayHere is a Moroccan hospitality group founded in June 2020 in Rabat by Mohamed Benzakour and Mohammed Lachgar. It began with three suites — no hotel, no debt, no sector experience. Five years later it runs ten addresses and more than 300 suites, with more than 100 collaborators and over 10,000 verified guest reviews.

## The concept

One promise, kept across every format: the space of a residence with the service of a hotel. A suite comes with an equipped kitchen and a real workspace, backed by a hotel team — housekeeping, linen, security, and one contact who answers. A place that behaves like a home and answers like a hotel, whether the stay is three nights or three months; only the duration changes. The same idea now runs through apart-hotels, boutique hotels and riads.

Four brand lines: **StayHere Residences**, **StayHere Hotels**, **StayHere Lifestyle**, and **StayHere Riads** — launched in 2026 for Morocco's historic medinas, now open in Essaouira.

## Technology

The house rule: technology removes friction, it never replaces people. Guests complete arrival online before they travel; on site, the first self check-in kiosk developed for the Moroccan market finishes check-in in about a minute; rates adjust to demand in real time.

## What's next

Marrakech before the end of 2026, a reinforced Rabat, and new brands in Fès and Tanger in 2027 — with the stated ambition of building a Moroccan hotel brand able to export itself.

## Role

Mohammed Lachgar is co-founder and managing director, leading the group's technology infrastructure, finance, distribution, acquisition channels and the systems behind operations.
